{Part One Here}

THE PORTAL {Part Two}

After she left the library, something felt off. Her hometown seemed gloomier than usual.
Was this really her hometown? She looked at the street name and it read "Queen-land St."
That was the street of the library. As she looked around, there was light coming out of different places.
 "More portals," she thought. She hoped they were the good ones, like the one she went into earlier.
She started towards home and on her way she saw even more portals.
When she got home, she couldn't find her mom but... there it was... a book open with a bright light shining out of it.
She prayed that her mother was alright. As she moved to get a closer look, she fell into the book.
 She was falling, falling, falling. "MOM!" she called out. She couldn't see, but she could hear her mom's voice, "HELP!"
She raced toward the voice and soon saw a red light. Her mother was cut and scraped so badly it didn't look like her. "Help me." she said. All of a sudden, the light went out like a candle being blown.
She felt arms carrying her away from her mom. Then she saw the person, it was her best friend, Dolly!
But Dolly wasn't speaking. "Can you talk?" she asked. "Yessss." Dolly replied in a snake-like way.
"You should have never come here!"
Then there was darkness...
