the time for snuggles

When Mr. Sunshine gets temperamental and temperature highs are in the 20s, serious snuggle sessions are in order. Not that I'm complaining. No sir. I love the floating flurries and snow showers. It's like living in a snow globe and who doesn't want that?! I could actually use a bit more. I mean, what's the point of it being this cold and NOT giving me snow?
And when you have two of the sweetest professional snugglers, it's not that unbearable.

"Times" Tenth Avenue North

I hear You say
                                                My love is over
It's underneath
It's inside
It's in between

The times that you doubt me
When you can't feel
The times that you question
Is this for real
The times you're broken
The times that you mend
The times you hate me
And the times that you bend

Well my love is over
It's underneath
It's inside
It's in between

The times that you're healing
And when your heart breaks
The times that you feel like you've fallen from grace
The times you're hurting
The times that you heal
The times you go hungry and are tempted to steal

In times of confusion
In chaos and pain
I'm there in your sorrow under the weight of your shame
I'm there through your heart-ache
I'm there in the storm
My love I will keep you by my power alone

I don't care where you've fallen or where you have been
I'll never forsake you
My love never ends
It never ends

just a little something...

I love little notes.
I love saving ticket stubs.
I love listing "favorites."
I love remembering "the good days."
So, I made a jar for us to fill up with just that.

I can't wait to read through them on New Year's Eve with Husband.

What are you going to do to remember the "happies" of this year?

new year's resolution

Just like last year's resolution, I'm sticking with a one word. My word for 2013 was "intentional." It was fitting, seeing how Husband and I moved to a different state and we didn't know anyone from Adam. I wanted to be intentional with the friends that I made, the ministry I had been given, and the lifestyle I lead. There were ups and downs, and I truly feel that I stuck to being intentional in every decision of 2013.

This year, I have more of a phrase than just one word.

Worry less.
Pray more.

If there's one thing I do too much, it's worry. If there's one thing I don't do enough, it's pray. So, for 2014 (and hopefully beyond,) I want to pray as much as I talk about something.  I want to immediately take captive my worries and focus my faith on what God can and will do in my life.

mini messages

Dear Everyone That Wants Happiness In Life,
Get a sheepdog. I promise you, their hearts are as massive as their body. And, no shedding. Say what?! Told you. You need one. (Wait, I need one...Brandooooon?!?)

Dear Snow,
Thanks for coming last night! It was perfect, but could we get a little more? I mean, with the low of 1 today, I think I deserve it.

Dear Downton Abbey,
You're back in my life and I feel so complete again. Well, as complete as I can be without Matthew and Cybil. I'm still bitter.

Dear Juan Pablo,
I think this'll be the best "Bachelor" ever. Thank you for learning to speak slow so we can all understand you. Me and my grandma hearing were genuinely worried about that.

Dear House,
Well, I finally de-Christmas-ed you. And although the house feels normal again, I can't help but miss the Christmas clutter. Until next year...

Happy Monday, y'all!
