It's a cold, rainy Saturday here in middle Tennessee.
But I still HAD to get out of the house.
You ever have those moments (days/weeks) where you just have the itch to get up, shower, and drive?
That's today for me.
Probably due to the week of being sick and stuck inside.
It's like I can SEE the sick germs in my house.
I just want to open all the doors and windows and Lysol the begeebies out of everything.
But, it's rainy and slightly freezing, so I'm stuck with just cleaning.
I don't want to clean though!
I can hear birds happily chirping outside (despite the drizzly rain), which speaks to my adventurous spirit and tells me to get up and go!
Alas, rainy day activities are limited.
So, it's probably just going to be a trip to the bank and some other errands.
But, we'll take the back roads and the long way home, maybe even rent a movie for date night in.
Oh Saturday, I like you.

Few things are better than some Sunday rain.

And having Maroon5's voice stuck in your head all day isn't so bad either.

good morning, monday

Picture from yesterday's tornado-like weather.

I do realize that it is well into the afternoon hours but I just woke up.

Why?

1 Because I'm not working yet. (Keyword...yet.)
2 I stayed up until 1am finishing our wedding album (thank-you shutterfly!) Then proceeded to stay up until 3am to catch up on Hulu.
3 Because I hate myself.

It's a love hate relationship that I have with sleeping in.

I love that it means I can be lazy.
but
I hate feeling lazy.

I love getting extra sleep.
but
I hate having too much sleep.

Love.
Hate.

I also hate that I feel less productive on days that I sleep in. Husband wakes up early and goes to work. What do I do? Sleep in. Not fair at all.

Now, don't think I'm this "diva-housewife."
It doesn't happen much, but there are days that I truly sleep til noon, wake up, and hate myself for it.

So, to prevent that from happening (and to keep me from "diva" status.)

I am setting my alarm.

I will wake up early everyday and work on things.

I'm almost done unpacking the house.
So, I'm not sure what things I will work on all day.

But I will get up, get dressed, do my hair and face
And I will work.

1. It's been raining all day. Which makes it a lot harder to get things done. All I want to do is curl up and read...or watch White Christmas for the 100th time this year.

2. Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday. It's also apparently the end of the world. That should be interesting.

3. My birthday is Christmas Eve, but I haven't been still enough to think about it. How old will I be? Oh, and I totally failed on my 24 before 24. I'm ashamed.

4. I wish I could snap my fingers and be in Tennessee.

5. I love unpacking and making house. Love.

6. I don't know that I want to teach forever. There, I said it.

7. I'm addicted to Candy Crush.

8. I'm ready to have a real, sweet, perfect birthday and Christmas with my Husband. The past 2 years we have been moving. Not fair at all.

9. Can I have snow?

10. We need a bigger bed. Apparently I kicked Husband out last night. He was on the floor when I woke up this morning. Sorry, Handsome.

Wearing your hair down, while teaching at a preschool, almost always turns out bad. What starts out as cute little girls playing "hair do-ers," quickly turns into a form of Chinese torture. A painful form of torture for sensitive scalped, migraine prone people like me. I went to school Wednesday and learned my lesson. Top knots are my new favorite thing.

Husband got an iPad recently, (thanks, Mom and Dad!) and we put our wedding pictures on there. I  made one of our favorites the lock screen background. The next time I opened it, I was greeted by a picture of "The Avengers." Not sure how I feel about that. 

I've been trying to eat healthier, work out, etc, and part of my "training" is to log what I eat. I downloaded a super nifty app on my phone to help hold me accountable. It tracks how many calories I've eaten, how many I've lost after exercising, and how close I am to reaching my goal. After a week of logging, I hate that stupid thing. Nobody likes being told they aren't doing the right thing. I'm slowly getting there though. I have become more conscious about what I eat and how much exercising I'll need to do to work it off. Tough stuff.

It's raining right now and I want nothing more than to jump into a pool. Swimming is so much cooler in the rain. Unless there's lightning, that's not very cool.

My Husband is actually off tonight and the other house dwellers are gone for the weekend...you know what that means! Frozen pizzas and board games. Can I get a "woohoo" for poor newlyweds?!

I am always trying to convince Husband that I'm funny. After 4 years, he's still not convinced. I think he's the one with the problem. I'm clearly hilarious.

To start the weekend off right, I leave you with some Christmas spirit. Can't go wrong with Chrimma music.

This weekend will be much more slow paced than last! I love spending time with my in-loves! It was a much needed mini-vacay. We went shopping (new dress and shoes!) and got to see some friends at church. Even if I came home with a sickness, it was time well spent! 

This weekend, however, we are chilling! Tomorrow morning the guys and I will head out to Tallahassee so I can kick their behinds in a fierce round of disc golf. No, seriously. Then, hopefully, some chick-fil-a will find its way into my belly. (Cause we all know how joy filled that makes me!)
