three verses.

I may not know everything in store for my future, but when I get overwhelmed, I can count on these three verses to help me stand.

"God is within her, she will not fail."
Psalm 46:5

"I have made you & I will carry you. I will sustain you & I will rescue you."
Isaiah 46:4

"We have this hope that anchors the soul."
Hebrews 6:19

I have this hope that anchors my soul: God is within me and I will not fail. He made me, carries me, sustains me, and will rescue me.

And I'm thankful for friends that aren't afraid to say,
"It might not even be today, so live your life!"

things.

My job is awesome for many reasons. For one, I spend all day in pajamas (they prefer to call them scrubs, more professionally sounding. But, let's be real. They're pajamas.) I spend many hours a week coloring, eating imaginary food, pretending to fall asleep and snore, dancing, singing, etc. Basically, I'm paid to act like a fool and my kids think it's the coolest thing ever. Now, I'd be lying if I said it's all fun and games. As with any job (especially those working with little ones) there are challenges. I'd say there's at least 10-15 breakdowns (I admit, 25% come from me, the teacher), 100 diaper changes, many days that I feel like I'm a broken record- repeating myself until I lose my voice, and I'm always placing my hands in some unknown sticky/wet substance. But, when I sit with those kids and they can tell me shapes, colors, numbers, letters, animals (all by the age of 2, mind you!) I am reminded why I love what I do. All the while,  I get to love on these kids and share with them the eternal love of Christ. A bad day can't ruin my career choice.

How about our first wedding anniversary is in 2 weeks?! I can't believe it's been a year. Goodness, what a year it has been. Husband has a surprise getaway planned the weekend of our anniversary. Sadly, I can't get off work. So on the 11th (the actual date),  I'll be celebrating with 7 toddlers. Yay. But, that's okay. I'm ready to see what Husband has planned!

I have successfully lost 4 pounds. WooHoo! How? I have no clue. Working? Running around, chasing kids? Eating quick tunafish and cracker meals? Who cares? I feel great!

Husband bought me Lion King on DVD and we had the best time watching it. I haven't seen it in years and seriously, you'd think it was the first time I ever saw it with all my laughing (and crying!) Such a good one!

Oh man, I have never been so excited about our future. I feel like we finally got all the junk out of our lives and now we can see the outcome of following Christ through everything. These next few months could reveal a lot of new roads and I'm so ready!

Happy 3 day weekend! Remember why we celebrate, as you celebrate!

life.

(Just for giggles. This was Halloween 2 years ago. I've always been told I have a Cindy-Lou Who nose. I finally decided to embrace it! Husband was Abe Lincoln and Bailee had a little Jockey strapped to her!)

Well, I realized that it has been...
oh, forever
since I've written any details about the craziness of this life!

Husband and I left Sneads and moved to little ole' Graceville.
Husband has a semester and a half left to finish his B.A. degree (wooo!)
so we decided to stop life and focus on that!

I am working at the college that he attends (Go BCF!)
I am the staff writer.
Press Releases are my life.

I love working here again.
(I worked with the President when I was student here...way back in '08!)
There are so many fond memories.
I mean, I met my future husband on this campus!
Happies.

My one and only bigger-than-me little brother is a student here.
Plus, our good friends from back home are students, also!
Which means my house= all boys.
But, it also means I get two extra brothers and I'm in charge (ha!)

Once Husband graduates, (finally!)
we will be putting his resume out everywhere.
I can't wait for next adventure and the little journeys in between.
As long as Husband is holding my hand, I'll go anywhere.

P.S. God is so good. Can I get an "amen"?

life lately

Christmas with the Crews!

Making pizza with Brother and Husband!

                      1. Sunday School craziness!                2. Waffle House midnight run! Happy 6 months!

Yes, I know. CindyLouWho.

Sweet puppy kisses!

McDonalds and Monopoly! Merry Christmas, Handsome!

Well, hi there friends!
Have I got news for you!

WE'RE MOVING!

There, I said it.
It's been inside of me for over a month and I've kept it a secret for way too long!

Brandon and I have served at First Baptist Church of Sneads for almost 3 years. We've been through many trials, but the youth group there has truly stolen our hearts. It'll be tough leaving them, but God has shown us a new path.

Back to school! Back to school!

Brandon and I will be moving back to the Baptist College of Florida in 6 days.

Yes, that's right.

6 daysssss.

Yikes.

We are beyond thrilled for this new life. God showed up and showed off. We got him registered for classes, ready to graduate, found a 2 jobs for me, AND a house to rent, all in the SAME day!

We took this as a big fat blinking sign from God.

And it's the best Christmas present ever.

P.S. Because I'll be pretty busy over the next 6 days (and then the Christmas family traditions) I will go ahead and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Mini Messages

Wreath I made for our little shack door using leftover wedding materials.

Dear Christmas,
All of a sudden the world has caught up with me in my excitement for you. I'm a true fan. Celebrate all year long, I do!

Dear Future,
I love you. I'm beyond excited for what's to come. I just want to scream! (More details to come later!)

Dear Olive,
You seem to be growing the "miniature" right out of you. What happened to my little baby girl?

Dear Florida Winter,
I hate you. It may be 90 degrees outside right now, but I'm still rocking the boots and scarves. Take that.

Dear Husband,
Can you believe it's almost been 6 months since we said "I do"? We've made this little shack a home. And I love it.
