mini messages

This picture has nothing to do with this post.
It's 2 years old, blurry, and almost the same pose as the picture to the left.
But I love it.

Dear Bailee,
Thanks for being our little guard dog. Every time you jump off the couch and stare at the ground, I know to scream for Brandon because it's always a bug. Such a life saver, you are!

Dear She & Him Holiday Station on Pandora,
Thank you for not judging me and allowing me to play your goodness all. year. long.

Dear 24 hour headache,
I said "go away", not "bring your friend, super congestion!" I'm seeing a lot of couch time and Reba re-runs in my forecast for today.

Dear Husband,
You are the best caretaker. Sundays are super busy for you, but you still left to bring me some breakfast (and then brought home lunch.) And you still snuggled with me after I was grouchy to you.

Dear Google Reader/Follower,
Rest in Peace. (Don't forget, the nifty "followers" deal is leaving soon! If you would like to continue to "follow" me, click on the Bloglovin' tab to the left!)

Happy Monday!

three verses.

I may not know everything in store for my future, but when I get overwhelmed, I can count on these three verses to help me stand.

"God is within her, she will not fail."
Psalm 46:5

"I have made you & I will carry you. I will sustain you & I will rescue you."
Isaiah 46:4

"We have this hope that anchors the soul."
Hebrews 6:19

I have this hope that anchors my soul: God is within me and I will not fail. He made me, carries me, sustains me, and will rescue me.

And I'm thankful for friends that aren't afraid to say,
"It might not even be today, so live your life!"

Mini Messages

Dear Olive,
You crack me up with your "Diva" tendencies. I can't help but sing Beyonce's "I'm a a diva, I'm a, I'm a a diva..."

Dear Tennessee Summer,
I love you and the memories you're bringing. Also, thanks for the tan!

Dear Place of Possible Employment,
Yes or No. That's all I need. Yes. or. No. Yes?

Dear Axios Girls,
I love love love y'all. Thursday nights are my new favorite.

Dear Blog,
I think I may like you again. I've missed writing and keeping up with my friends. Maybe I'll give you a second chance.

porch fest 2013

My Godparents invited Husband and I to join them at Porch Fest this year. Having never been before, we had no idea what to expect. The name basically says it all. Talented people playing from the front porches of the most gorgeous houses I've ever seen. Add some food trucks, crafts, and a concert in front of the lake, and you've got Porch Fest!

two years

Today Husband and I celebrated our two year anniversary.
Since we've been traveling all weekend for a wedding,
we decided to have a low-key day.
We drove down the road and spent the afternoon in adorable Bell Buckle, TN!

Now, time for pizza and a scary movie.

We are so romantic.

Dear Handsome,
Thank you so much for everything. I wish I could list out the ways you make my life better, but I know it would take way too long and nobody else would even understand. So, I strive to show you every day how much you mean to me. We made big decisions this past year and I'm so excited to start anew here in Tennessee. It finally feels like home, a place to grow roots. I can't wait to see what this next year brings.

I love you, today, more than ever, and tomorrow, more than that.

the 2 most hilariously heartbreaking videos

Husband and I left town Friday for a friend's wedding (woo hoo, Ellie and Jonathan!)
We dropped our puppies off (in super good hands, thanks, Katie and John!)
and as soon as we got into the car, we received a call.
Now, we've heard that our little girls have separation anxiety,
but never have we imagined it being this bad.

Sorry girls, but it's Mom and Dad's anniversary... you've got 2 more days.
Love you!
