an affair...

This may or may not constitute as cheating but,

I signed up for a Tumblr account.

I know, I know. How dare  I?

Well, life got hectic and super fast. I felt like I was abandoning my little blog. I've missed taking pictures and posting about our newlywed life. But there hasn't been much newlywed fun times worth blogging. We both work full-time and at opposite times of the day!

"Good morning, Handsome! Just waking you up to say good-bye!"
"Goodnight, Handsome! Have a good time at work!"

See how boring that would be to blog about?!

So, I decided to check out Tumblr.

To me, it's a cross between Twitter and Blogger. It's more than just a status update, but less than a blog. My blogging is not the only thing changing. Due to recent personal events, I've been inspired to change. Wardrobe, outlook, job, personality, hair, etc.

A fresh new start.
A fresh new Lauren.

This by no means is me saying goodbye to you. I lovelovelove reading about your lives and whenever I do get 10 minutes to sit down, the first thing I do is check in on my friends.

So, feel free to check out boylovesgirl over at Tumblr!

Our Wedding: Couple's Shoot

I saved the best for last! Most of these were taken right after the reception. We went to a nearby state park for our couple's shoot. I LOVE them!
Ashley Daniell, thank you!
Can't wait for our next opportunity to use you!

(I forgot to add these to the end of the reception group!)

Brandon and I both decided to not have a "first look." I had seen pictures like this before and I fell in love with the idea! These door shots were taken just minutes before I walked down the aisle. We hadn't talked or seen each other all day. I was so filled with emotion, all I could was squeeze his hand!

I was terrified! I hate heights!

I was told 2 days before our wedding that we could not dance during our reception. We had the reception at our church and I quadruple checked and everyone told us it would be fine for us to dance. I picked out the perfect Father/Daughter and Husband/Wife songs and TWO days before it all happened, I got a phone call. Needless to say, I was heartbroken and livid. BUT, during our couple's shoot, Brandon pulled out his phone and played "Marry Me" by Train and we danced.

PLUS, a month ago, at my cousin's wedding, we were surprised with a first dance/father daughter dance during their reception. It was too sweet for words!

We met back at the church and grabbed our little furbabies for some "family" pictures!

Thanks for sticking around to see all of our wedding shots! Back to normal posts for now!
Hope you all enjoyed them as much as we do!

Does this make me a nerd?

I can accept that.
Because I'm way to excited about my new sticker.

P.S. Don't forget to check out the new wedding pictures I posted!

Our Wedding: The Reception

Thank you all for the sweet comments! I'm so glad you all enjoy them as much as me!

These are a few (baha) shots of our reception! I tried to stick with the vintage picnic theme. My Aunt made all the pennants and most everything else was either homemade, old items from my Mamaw, or from Michaels!

The guest sign-in area.

We had an afternoon wedding, so for the reception we had desserts and an ice-cream bar!

The centerpieces.

My sweet little boy I used to babysit for screamed my name as soon as we walked in!

Our wedding cake! I collect Willow Tree figurines so it was perfect!

We promised to be sweet to each other!

I love this picture! All of these ladies are my friends from different time periods in my life!

My beautiful parents and my Grandma!
Larry and Tracey were life savers for our wedding...in more than one way!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I don't think I ate or drank anything all day until then!

The oldest active member in our church, Mrs. Eugenia. She had been in the nursing home for a few weeks and this was her first time out! She is SUCH a delight!

Photo Booth! The camera was supposed to be turned the other way...so it'd look like a wall with a picture. But, they still turned out funny despite the mistake!

Love the face of my mom-in-love! ;)

Okeechobee people!

If you look at the picture of Brandon and me in the booth, you can totally see where he gets his face from! Love my dad-in-love!

BCF people!

Best. Ever.

Up next: Our couple shoot. My favorites in the whole bunch! Stay tuned!
