things.
My job is awesome for many reasons. For one, I spend all day in pajamas (they prefer to call them scrubs, more professionally sounding. But, let's be real. They're pajamas.) I spend many hours a week coloring, eating imaginary food, pretending to fall asleep and snore, dancing, singing, etc. Basically, I'm paid to act like a fool and my kids think it's the coolest thing ever. Now, I'd be lying if I said it's all fun and games. As with any job (especially those working with little ones) there are challenges. I'd say there's at least 10-15 breakdowns (I admit, 25% come from me, the teacher), 100 diaper changes, many days that I feel like I'm a broken record- repeating myself until I lose my voice, and I'm always placing my hands in some unknown sticky/wet substance. But, when I sit with those kids and they can tell me shapes, colors, numbers, letters, animals (all by the age of 2, mind you!) I am reminded why I love what I do. All the while, I get to love on these kids and share with them the eternal love of Christ. A bad day can't ruin my career choice.
How about our first wedding anniversary is in 2 weeks?! I can't believe it's been a year. Goodness, what a year it has been. Husband has a surprise getaway planned the weekend of our anniversary. Sadly, I can't get off work. So on the 11th (the actual date), I'll be celebrating with 7 toddlers. Yay. But, that's okay. I'm ready to see what Husband has planned!
I have successfully lost 4 pounds. WooHoo! How? I have no clue. Working? Running around, chasing kids? Eating quick tunafish and cracker meals? Who cares? I feel great!
Husband bought me Lion King on DVD and we had the best time watching it. I haven't seen it in years and seriously, you'd think it was the first time I ever saw it with all my laughing (and crying!) Such a good one!
Oh man, I have never been so excited about our future. I feel like we finally got all the junk out of our lives and now we can see the outcome of following Christ through everything. These next few months could reveal a lot of new roads and I'm so ready!
Happy 3 day weekend! Remember why we celebrate, as you celebrate!

hello, again.
Can I just start off by apologizing?
I'm sorry.
I've been a horrible blog friend.
I mean, horr-i-ble!
But there's a valid reason for my absence.
I'm teaching once again!
WaaaHooo!
What I once swore off, God placed back into my life.
Funny when He works things out like that.
I am the newest pre-school teacher at Trinity Learning Center.
Basically, I have the best job.
The only reason I'm not at work and I'm writing this now is because I had some cysts rupture which made for a sick day.
(P.S. I'm perfectly fine. Just comes with the endometriosis.)
I have the sa-weetest babies.
Oh, man.
They stole my heart at the first "Meh Waren" (that's "Mrs. Lauren" for you non-fluent pre-school talkers.)
They also stole my time.
I mean, up at 6 and gogogo until 5.
Come home.
Die.
Start over.
But I wouldn't change it for anything.
You know you love your job when even on an "off" day, all you want to do is be at work.
That never happens.
Meh Waren will be back in action tomorrow (fingers crossed) and hopefully some sort of scheduled routine will come back with my blogging.
Now, to catch up on your lives!

things
While drinking water is super healthy for you, no one tells you about the bajillion bathroom trips you have to make. Seriously, one bottle of water=6 bathroom visits. That makes life so difficult.
I've been growing my hair out for almost 2 years. I want loooong hair. I have never been so excited for my hair to get caught in my arm pit, or slammed in the car door, or pulled whenever I get hugged. Why? Because that means my hair has finally decided to grow.
I am way to excited about my Hulu routine. If you don't know of Hulu, I need to pray for you. Hulu is magical. You can watch (almost) any t.v. show online the day after it airs. Every Monday I watch Sunday's episode of "Once Upon a Time" (he's Pinocchio!) Every Wednesday I watch "snippets" of Tuesday's episodes "Glee" and "New Girl." I say snippets because there tends to be too much raunchiness/moral issues in some episodes. So I edit them myself. Then, Friday's I watch Thursday's episode of "The Office." If you can't tell, we don't have cable. People keep telling me more shows to check out, but clearly my schedule is packed.
Speaking of Glee, is it weird that I like Glee-versions of songs 99% more than the originals? I'm okay with it.
This week I started my cut-down-on-soda-and-drink-more-water-then-workout-an-hour-a-day routine. I'm so fat and out of shape that my soreness isn't even funny. I can't move my legs. At all. Which stinks because I have to get up every 20 minutes to use the bathroom. Who's idea was this again?
For about 3 days I thought I wanted to be a cosmetologist. I went to Aveda online and asked them to mail me some more information. I received a call about an hour later. I talked to a sweet girl from Aveda named Katie for a few minutes. She asked how long I've known that I wanted to be in cosmetology. I said, 3 days. For the next week and a half Katie from Aveda called me every day, 2 times a day. I stopped answering. I don't think I'm going to get anything in the mail.
On the topic of what I want to be when I grow up, I had a wonderful interview yesterday followed by an observation scheduled for tomorrow. I'm going back to where it all started, Pre-School. A teaching position opened up recently and so far things are lining up perfectly! Hello full-time, year-round teaching! It's been a while!
I'm hoping this summer brings: long(er) hair, Disney World, weight-loss, that one ring I'm in love with from c28.com (ehem...Husband), bigger paychecks, family road trips, pizza, steaks, tan lines, a hedgehog, pigs in a blanket, weddings, internet at the house, and many more happies.
Last time, I left you with my favorite version of Goyte's "Somebody That I Used to Know." I think I lied, because this is totally my favorite version. P.S. I met Kevin, the "percussionist!" Sweetest guy!
